Research on potential concepts

My first idea was to make a simple poster for kids aged 4-6. This would be at their level in a classroom and it would have simple instructions on it to teach them how to identify when someone was ill and then to get help from an adult or ring 999. Here were some first aid posters I was looking at:

 

All the posters seem to have a step by step layout, but there is alot of type on them and it would be difficult for a child to read. Plus a child may not be too interested in a poster and it may not stick out in their mind. So I thought I would check out some mascots or emergency characters, this mascot could visit the schools and play out a drama with a person and show the kids what to do. They would remember this alot better than information on a poster. So here were some characters I looked at:

 

 

The majority of mascots are animals or objects related to first aid. They are all friendly looking so the children won't fear them and they all look soft and cuddly!
