Research on drawing styles

I looked for some ideas on drawing styles to include in my animation and here are a few that I liked and took inspiration from. I wanted to use a black pen for all the outlines of my drawings and fill them in with coloured pencil as it can create a nice 3D effect to the cutout. Here was an example of coloured pencil I liked for my leaf drawings.

 

Here was another idea I liked, I like how the leaf isn't fully coloured in. This is a style I use alot, where there is only limited amount of colour used.

 

 

These images below show exactly what I mean by drawing with a clear black line and then adding splashes of colour here and there throughout the drawing to pick out the most important features of the composition. I used this kind of style for my animation.
